Ranger nordic skiing

The boys from Forest Lake High School won the state Nordic skiing championship last Thursday afternoon. A day before – also at Giants Ridge in Biwabik – the boys Alpine skiing team took second at its state tournament. Between the two significant accomplishments, a former Ranger skier competed on an even bigger stage.

Five years since last winning the state Nordic skiing meet, the Forest Lake boys returned to the top of the podium today, Feb. 13, at Giants Ridge in Biwabik.
