At the annual geography bee on Tuesday, Jan. 14, Scandia Elementary students from grades 4, 5 and 6 answered questions from National Geographic. Children’s author David LaRochelle visited Scandia Elementary on Tuesday, Nov. 26. LaRochelle, author of “The Best Pet Ever,” “The Haunted Hamburger” and “A Christmas Guest,” is a winner in the Minnesota Book Awards competition. He lives in White Bear Lake.
