The second annual Alissa M. Haines Stomp Out Suicide Race For Awareness attracted about 1,400 people to Wyoming’s Goodview Park Saturday.
When a Wyoming family lost its loved one to suicide in December 2011, it chose to fight back. Most recently, one relative has been on a special journey since June.
Last year’s inaugural run/walk put on by Stomp Out Suicide can be described only as an overwhelming success.
A 5K to raise funds for suicide awareness will be held Aug. 25 in Wyoming.
Suicide claimed the life of a local teen in December. This month, her family will sponsor an event aimed to prevent such tragedies.
